So, why do Prestbury patients come to Wilmslow?
At ten minutes, the journey is not really the question. What is at the other end of it is.
We are at 64 Manchester Road, a straight run along the A538 through Mottram St Andrew. Close enough that plenty of Prestbury patients register with us for everything, and close enough that the drive is not something anybody weighs up.
What they come for tends to fall into a few categories.
- Cosmetic work done with restraint:
Dr Natasja Kashyap holds a Master’s degree in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and leads cosmetic treatment here. Her approach is deliberately understated, designing results that suit your face and colouring rather than the uniform brightness that has become common. Patients report that people notice they look well without being able to say why. - Implant treatment:
Dr Nikhil holds a Master’s degree in Implant Dentistry from the University of Manchester, with a 99.5% success rate across hundreds of cases. Bone grafting, sinus lifts and zygomatic implants are all carried out here, which means patients told elsewhere that implants are not possible frequently turn out to be suitable. - Everything handled in one place:
Implants, endodontics, restorative and cosmetic work all carried out by postgraduate trained clinicians at the practice. Complex treatment does not require referring out partway through. - Unhurried appointments:
We are a private practice and longer appointment times are one of the practical differences that make. - Fifty years in the same building:
Croft Dental has been at 64 Manchester Road since 1974. Continuity matters when treatment runs across years rather than appointments.
Getting here from Prestbury
- By car:
Take the A538 north west out of the village through Mottram St Andrew and into Wilmslow, then join Manchester Road heading north east towards Handforth. We are on the right hand side, around ten minutes in normal conditions. If you reach Handforth Dean, you have gone too far. - By train:
Prestbury station sits on the Macclesfield to Manchester line and does not run directly to Wilmslow. Driving is considerably easier. - Parking:
We have our own parking directly outside the practice on Manchester Road. No time limits, no tickets, and no walk in from a town centre car park. - If you are having surgical treatment or sedation:
Please arrange for somebody to drive you home. You should not drive yourself afterwards.
