Register with Croft Dental

We are currently accepting new patients across Wilmslow and the surrounding areas. Registering takes a few minutes, and your first appointment is a Free 3D Smile Assessment with no obligation to book any treatment afterwards.

Looking for a dental practice you can stay with

Most people find a dentist and stay put for years, which makes the decision worth getting right.

Croft Dental has been in Wilmslow since 1974. We are an independent private practice, not part of a chain, and the same clinicians will look after you at every visit. Our patients include people who have been coming here for decades, families with young children, and a good number who had avoided the dentist entirely before finding us.

We accept new patients of all ages and all treatment needs, from routine check ups through to complex implant and cosmetic work.

How Registering Works

  1. Get in touch
Complete the registration form on this page, call us on 01625 523 524, or email the practice. Tell us roughly what you are looking for and whether you have any immediate concerns.
  2. We book your first appointment
We will offer you a Free 3D Smile Assessment at a time that suits you. If you are in pain or have an urgent problem, tell us and we will prioritise you.
  3. Complete your medical history
We will send you a short medical history form to complete before you arrive. If you would rather fill it in at the practice, allow an extra ten minutes on the day.
  4. Come and meet us
Your first appointment is a full consultation. You will meet your clinician, have a proper assessment, and leave understanding your options. There is no pressure to book anything.

What happens at your Free 3D Smile Assessment

Your first visit is a proper clinical consultation rather than a quick look and a sales pitch. Allow around forty five minutes.

  • A conversation first
We start by asking what brought you in, what you would like to change, and whether anything has put you off dental treatment in the past. This part matters, and we do not rush it.
  • A full examination
We check your teeth, gums, bite and soft tissues, including a routine oral cancer screening. If x-rays are clinically necessary we will explain why before taking any.
  • 3D imaging where it helps
For implant cases and complex treatment, we use CBCT 3D scanning on site. It shows bone volume, nerve position and anatomy that a standard x-ray cannot, and it means we can plan accurately from the start.
  • Your options explained clearly
We will talk you through what is possible, what we would recommend, and what would happen if you chose to do nothing. In plain terms, without jargon.
  • Written costs if you want them
If you would like to proceed, we will prepare a written treatment plan setting out every stage and every cost. Nothing begins until you have agreed to it.
  • No obligation at any point
You are free to go away and think about it, get a second opinion, or decide the timing is not right. That is entirely reasonable and we will not chase you.

Anxious patients are genuinely welcome here

This is not a line we add for the sake of it. A significant proportion of our new patients have avoided dental treatment for years, usually after a difficult experience somewhere else.

What we do differently

  • We allow longer appointments so nothing is rushed.
  • We explain everything before it happens, and we stop when you ask us to.
  • We agree on a signal with you at the start so you can pause treatment at any point without having to speak.
  • We do not lecture people about the state of their teeth. You already know. We are here to fix it, not to make you feel worse.
  • We will happily see you for a first visit where nothing at all happens except a conversation, if that is what you need to get through the door.
"I was terrified of the dentist after childhood trauma. Dr Nikhil was so lovely and truly brilliant. He explained every stage and put my mind at ease. I had no pain during the surgery at all. You removed my fear of the dentist."

What treatment costs

We are a private practice and we are open about what that means. Our fees reflect the time, training and materials involved in the work we do.

  • Free 3D Smile Assessment: Your first consultation as a new patient is free of charge.
  • Written costs before treatment: Every treatment plan is priced in writing before anything begins. There are no charges partway through that you were not expecting.
  • Finance through Tabeo: For treatments over £500 we offer finance through Tabeo, our approved finance partner. Interest free options are available with no arrangement fees or hidden charges. We will show you the monthly cost during your consultation.
  • Practice plan: If you would rather spread the cost of routine care across the year than pay per appointment, our practice plan covers your regular check ups and hygiene visits for a fixed monthly amount.

Questions new patients ask

No. You can contact us directly by phone, email or through the form on this page. Referrals are only needed if another dentist is sending you to us for a specific piece of treatment such as implant work.

We usually offer new patient appointments within a couple of weeks. If you are in pain or have an urgent problem, tell us when you call and we will find you something sooner.

Yes. There is no charge for your first consultation as a new patient and no obligation to book treatment afterwards. If x-rays are clinically necessary during that appointment we will explain any cost before taking them.

Croft Dental is a private practice. We do not offer NHS treatment. Our fees are set out in full on our fees page, and finance is available on treatments over £500.

Of course. Plenty of patients bring a partner, friend or family member, particularly if they are nervous. It is not a problem at all.

You will not be the first this week. We are not going to lecture you. Come in, let us have a look, and we will work out a plan together at a pace that suits you.

It depends on the health of your teeth and gums. Most patients are seen every six months, though some need three monthly visits and others can safely go longer. Your clinician will recommend an interval based on your assessment.
