Referring a Patient to Croft Dental
Croft Dental accepts referrals from practices across Cheshire and the North West for implant treatment, complex endodontics and CBCT imaging. Your patient is treated for the referred case only and returned to your care.
Croft Dental at 64 Manchester Road in Wilmslow accepts referrals for implant treatment, complex endodontics and CBCT or OPG imaging. Implant treatment is carried out by Dr Nikhil Oberai, who holds an MSc in Implant Dentistry from the University of Manchester with a 99.5% success rate. Endodontic treatment is carried out by Dimitris Mataras, who holds an MSc in Endodontics. Bone grafting, sinus lifts and zygomatic implants are all carried out on site. Referred patients are treated for the specified case only and returned to the referring practice on completion, with a treatment summary and radiographs provided.

Advanced Endodontic Services

Cases accepted:
- Complex molar endodontics
- Retreatment of failed root canal treatment
- Calcified or unusual canal anatomy
- Post removal
- Apicectomy
- Fractured instruments and ledged canals
- Cases where you have started treatment and encountered difficulty
Retreatment in particular is worth flagging. Many teeth recommended for extraction after a failed root canal are retreatable, and a good number of our endodontic referrals come from practices that do not offer it.
3D CBCT & OPG Diagnostic Imaging
Available as a standalone referral service for practices without on site imaging.

Patients referred for imaging only are not seen for anything beyond the scan unless you have requested an assessment.

- Reason for referral and the tooth or site concerned
- Relevant medical history
- Any radiographs or scans already taken
- Whether you wish to restore the case yourself, for implant referrals
- Any particular concerns, including dental anxiety
Post-Referral Process & Patient Care
- Patient contact:
We contact the patient directly to arrange their consultation, usually within two working days. - Consultation and planning:
A comprehensive assessment, CBCT scan where indicated, and a written fee breakdown provided to the patient. - Reporting:
You are copied into the outcome of the consultation and the proposed treatment plan before treatment commences.
