Dental Implant Fees in Wilmslow

Published openly, priced in stages, and quoted in writing before anything begins. The consultation costs nothing.

Dental implant treatment at Croft Dental on Manchester Road in Wilmslow starts from £1,300 for the implant placement, with the crown and abutment from £1,000, giving a complete single implant from around £2,300. Full arch packages replacing an entire set of teeth start from £11,500. Implant consultations are free of charge, and every patient receives a written treatment plan with itemised costs before treatment begins. Treatment is carried out by Dr Nikhil Oberai, who holds an MSc in Implant Dentistry from the University of Manchester and has a 99.5% success rate across hundreds of cases. Finance is available through Tabeo.

So, what is composite bonding?

Because it happens in two parts, several months apart, and pricing it as one figure would misrepresent when you actually pay.

The placement. The surgical appointment where the titanium implant is placed into the jawbone. From £1,300.

The crown and abutment. Fitted once the implant has fused with the bone, usually three to six months later. The abutment connects the implant to the crown, and the crown is the visible tooth. From £1,000.

So a complete single implant starts from around £2,300, split across two payments with a gap of several months in between. For a good number of patients that spacing does more to make treatment affordable than any finance arrangement.

This matters when you are comparing quotes.

Some practices advertise implants from a figure that covers the placement alone. It looks considerably cheaper than a complete treatment price, and it is not the same thing.

We show ours separately so you can see exactly what each stage costs, and so nothing appears on a bill you were not expecting.

Additional procedures are quoted separately, because not everybody needs them. Bone grafting, sinus lifts and extractions depend entirely on what your CBCT scan shows, and your written plan will state clearly whether yours are required.

Full arch treatment is priced as a package, since it involves multiple implants, surgery, temporary teeth and a final bridge, and quoting that stage by stage would be considerably less useful than a single figure.

What this means for your case

Replacing one missing tooth

From £2,300 for the complete treatment. If the failing tooth still needs removing first, add the extraction from £220. If your CBCT scan shows insufficient bone, add grafting from £450.

Same day implants

From £2,000, placing the implant and fitting a temporary tooth at the same appointment where the case allows it. Whether this is possible depends on the stability achieved during surgery, which is assessed at the time rather than promised in advance.

Replacing three teeth in a row

An implant bridge from £3,500, which uses fewer implants than replacing each tooth individually and generally costs less as a result.

Securing a loose denture

An implant retained denture from £5,000 per arch. The denture clips onto implants so it stays put, while still coming out for cleaning.

Replacing a full arch with fixed teeth

The full mouth packages, from £11,500. These give teeth that are permanently fixed and never removed by you.

Sedation

From £350 with implant treatment, for patients who would find the appointment difficult or for longer surgical procedures. You will need somebody to take you home afterwards.

The full arch packages

All three replace a full arch of missing or failing teeth with implants supporting a fixed bridge. They differ in the materials used and the specification of the final bridge, which affects appearance, strength and how long it lasts.

Silver, from £11,500. The entry level full arch option.

Gold, from £14,500. A higher specification bridge.

Platinum, from £19,500. The highest specification available.

Which is appropriate depends on your bone, your bite, how heavily you use your teeth and what you want from the result. Dr Nikhil will explain the practical differences at your free consultation, including where paying more genuinely buys you something and where it would not.

What your fee covers

Included in every implant case

  • The free consultation and assessment
  • Your written treatment plan with itemised costs
  • The implant, abutment and crown or bridge as quoted
  • Surgical appointments
  • Review appointments during healing
  • Aftercare instructions and follow up

Quoted separately where required

  • CBCT 3D scan
  • Extraction of any failing teeth
  • Bone grafting, sinus grafts or sinus lifts
  • Sedation
  • Any general dental or hygiene treatment needed beforehand

Not included

Ongoing hygiene appointments after treatment is complete. Implants require regular professional maintenance in the same way natural teeth do, and this is charged at the standard hygiene rate from £90.

That is worth factoring in from the start. Peri-implantitis is the most common way successful implant treatment gets undone, and it is almost entirely preventable with regular maintenance.

Why two patients pay different amounts

Two people having a single implant can receive quite different quotes, and it is worth understanding why before you compare figures with anybody.

Gum disease must be treated first. Implants are not placed into unhealthy gums. Where gum treatment is needed, it is quoted separately and happens before implant treatment begins.

The failing tooth may still need removing. From £220 for a straightforward extraction, more where the tooth is broken down or the roots are complex.

Bone may need rebuilding. Where a tooth has been missing for years, the bone that supported it has usually shrunk. Bone grafting from £450 rebuilds it. In the upper back jaw a sinus lift from £850 may be needed instead.

None of this is added later. It is all identified from your CBCT scan at the free consultation and set out in your written plan before you agree to anything.

If you are comparing practices

Implant quotes are frequently not comparable, and this is the most common reason patients are surprised later.

  • Ask what the price includes. Some practices quote for the implant placement only. That figure will look considerably cheaper than one covering the placement, abutment and crown, but it is not the same treatment.
  • Ask whether the 3D scan is included. Implant treatment should not be planned without one. Ask whether it is included in the consultation, quoted separately, or not being taken at all.
  • Ask about bone grafting. A quote given without a 3D scan cannot account for whether grafting is needed. Ask whether the price is conditional.
  • Ask who is placing the implant and what their training is. This is the question that matters most and the one patients ask least. Implants can be placed legally by any dentist. The depth of postgraduate training varies enormously.
  • Ask about the success rate. Most practices do not publish one.
  • Ask for it in writing. Before agreeing to anything.

What you are paying for

A Master’s degree in Implant Dentistry. Dr Nikhil’s MSc from the University of Manchester involved several years of postgraduate study and supervised clinical practice devoted entirely to implantology. Many dentists placing implants have completed shorter certificate courses instead. Both are perfectly legal. The depth of training differs.

A 99.5% success rate. Across hundreds of implant cases. Most clinicians do not publish one.

CBCT 3D planning on site. Every case is planned from a 3D scan taken here rather than estimated or referred elsewhere for imaging.

Complex cases handled in house. Bone grafting, sinus lifts and zygomatic implants are all carried out at the practice. You will not be referred away partway through your treatment.

CQC registered and inspected. The practice is registered with and inspected by the Care Quality Commission.

Recognised by the profession. Dr Nikhil is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology, a Key Opinion Leader for Osstem, and an Honorary Clinical Teaching Fellow at the University of Manchester. Other practices across the North West refer their complex implant cases to him.

Important information

All fees are shown as starting prices and are case dependent.

After your consultation and 3D scan, and before commencing any treatment, you receive a treatment plan including a written estimate of the full cost of the proposed treatment.

Where treatment proves more complex than originally assessed, we will discuss it with you and provide a revised estimate before proceeding rather than continuing and adjusting the bill afterwards.

Fees are subject to change. The written estimate provided after your consultation is the figure that applies to you.

Spread the cost of dental implants with finance

We offer finance on implant treatment through Tabeo so the cost can be spread across monthly payments. Interest-free options are available with no arrangement fees or hidden charges.

Applications take a few minutes and you will know the outcome quickly. We will show you exactly what your treatment would cost per month at your consultation.

Because implant treatment happens in stages several months apart, the staged payments also spread the cost naturally for patients who would rather not use finance at all.

We're Welcoming New Patients

We warmly welcome new patients to our practice. If it’s been a while since your last visit, if dental visits make you feel anxious, if you’ve recently moved to Wilmslow, or if you’re simply seeking a team that truly listens to your concerns, you’ll find a supportive and gentle environment here with us.
During your first appointment, we take the time to conduct a complete evaluation of your teeth, gums, and overall oral health. We will listen carefully to your goals, answer any questions, and collaboratively create a treatment plan tailored specifically to you.

Frequently asked questions

A single dental implant at Croft Dental starts from £1,300 for the implant placement, with the crown and abutment from £1,000, giving a complete implant from around £2,300. Same day implants start from £2,000. Additional treatment such as extraction from £220, bone grafting from £450 or a sinus lift from £850 is quoted separately following a 3D scan. Implant consultations are free of charge.

Full arch implant packages at Croft Dental start from £11,500 for the Silver package, £14,500 for Gold and £19,500 for Platinum. The packages differ in the materials used and the specification of the final bridge. Each replaces a full arch of missing or failing teeth with implants supporting a fixed bridge that is not removed by the patient.

Yes. Implant consultations at Croft Dental are free of charge and include an assessment and discussion of your options. A CBCT 3D scan, where required for planning, is charged at £80 for a single arch or £170 for both arches. Patients receive a written treatment plan with itemised costs before any treatment begins.

Quotes frequently cover different things. Some practices quote for the implant placement alone, excluding the abutment and crown, which makes the figure appear considerably lower than a quote covering complete treatment. Quotes given without a 3D scan also cannot account for whether bone grafting is required. Patients should ask exactly what is included and request the quote in writing.

Yes. Finance is available on implant treatment through Tabeo, with interest free options, no arrangement fees and no hidden charges. Because implant treatment happens in stages several months apart, the staged payments also spread the cost for patients who would prefer not to use finance.

Bone grafting is only required where there is insufficient bone to hold an implant, which is common where a tooth has been missing for several years. Bone augmentation starts from £450, a sinus graft from £500 and a sinus lift from £850. Whether it is needed is determined by a CBCT 3D scan at the consultation rather than assumed in advance.

Implant fees at Croft Dental cover the consultation, the written treatment plan, the implant, abutment and crown or bridge as quoted, surgical appointments, review appointments during healing and aftercare. The 3D scan, extractions, bone grafting and sedation are quoted separately where required. Ongoing hygiene appointments after treatment are charged at the standard rate.

Yes. Implants require regular professional hygiene appointments, charged at the standard rate from £90, to keep the surrounding gum and bone healthy. Peri-implantitis, an infection of the tissue around the implant, is the main cause of implant loss after successful placement and is largely preventable with regular maintenance.
